The baptism records of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sparta, IL, include a curious and confusing line item. In the "Parents" column is "Adpot Mrs, Sarah M. Temple," who is certainly Sarah M. Renolda. The "Baptized line gave 17 Oct 1909," so it appears Sarah was then baptized, but the curious bit is the next column, "Adult," and there the name Ruth Anna appears without a surname.
