However, if 6 survived, with Bayard dying in 1891 and Lillie in 1896, then she must have had 8 children, as shown.

Her surname is from a source that is a bit suspect. The Plumly genealogy said her husband was George Temple, and that it was he for whom Temple, Texas was named. This is wrong on many accounts, in that Bernard Moore Temple was the railroad engineer for whom Temple, TX was named. According to Temple Bible data, provided to me by Angela Faye Guilford Temple, <witchblade37@excite.com>. According to that Bible, probably annotated by Theodore F. Temple, Mary was a Plumblee. Also, although she often appears in the census as Mary J., her name in the Bible was given as Mary Elvira. The Plumly genealogy gave her middle name as Elizabeth.
