Evidence for three wives is circumstantial, but follows this logic: SD marriage records show he married Bertha Harr in 1933, eliminating her as the mother of Bernice, b 1926. Those same marriage records show Reinhold was a widower. CA birth records for Sandra Joyce in 1941 show her mother's maiden name to be Heckel, and since Bertha Harr had no previous marriages, there must be another wife after her. However, to confuse things a bit, Reinhold is apparently buried with Bertha Harr, who appears to be his second wife. This can be cleared up if CA birth records can be found to be in error, eliminating the third wife, making Bertha the mother of Sandra Joyce. He was not found in 1930.
