Dorcas is described in William's 1816 will as his loving wife, and he left to her all his land, stock and cattle to raise his children, William (born 1803) and Daniel. (It is unknown if these children were by Dorcas or previous wife.) The 1810 Census listed William as 26 to 45 years old so he apparently died young.
