Buried in Lake Creek Cemetery, Bartlett, KS. Her parents were both from IN in 1920, but both from the US in 1910. By 1910, she had had 3 children, all of whom survived. At one time, based on the 1920 census's identification of her son Alva as the grandson of George and Martha Tomey, she was identified as Mattie Tomey. However, the obituary of William F. Tomey, known to be their son, did not mention Mattie as a sister. However, she was buried in the Tomey plot in Lake Creek Cemetery.
