She appeared in the census in September 1860 in Jordan Twp., Lycoming, PA.²⁸²⁸² She appeared in the census in April 1910 in Montour, Columbia, PA.¹⁶¹⁷⁰ Chirilla lived in Bloomsburg, Columbia, PA in 1911.¹⁶¹⁶⁹ She died on 27 October 1925 at the age of 72 in Montour Co., PA.⁸⁸¹⁵⁴ Buried in Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Montour Co., PA. In 1910, her parents were both from PA. By 1910, she had had 11 children, 10 of whom survived. Given as Gerilla in her son Frank's death certificate, she was Chrilla in her son Phillip's death certificate. In her son John's death certificate, this became Jarilla Temple. She was Chirilla in 1910 and in her death certificate. Given as Clarilla or possibly Charilla in 1860. Given as Sorilla in her daughter Catherine's death certificate. That person was noted as also having married Zubal Crossley by a secondary source. No other known Temple female seems to fit what is known of this person, however. The association with Crossley is not verified, and seems unlikely. Given the confusion created over her name and the wife of Philip Boyer, her son, it is possible that Crossley married one or the other of them. MRS. MARTIN D. DENNISON

Sugar Grove, July 6 - Mrs. Chloe Temple Dennison wife of Martin D. Dennison passed away at their home in Ashville, Friday afternoon, June 24, age 58 years, 9 months and 15 days. She is survived by her husband Martin D Dennison of Ashville, N.Y., her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hiram Temple, one sister Miss Lottie Temple and one brother, Arthur Temple of Wellsville, N.Y.

Mrs. Dennison was a member of the First M.E. Church of Ashville and was also a member of the Philemon society of that church and a faithful worker.

The funeral was held from the church in Ashville Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, preceded by a prayer at the home, and was conducted by Rev. W.E. Bassett, pastor of the church. He was assisted by Rev. Nelson Day, Pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church of Ashville. Music was furnished by Merrit Baker and A.S. Jones, who sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Baker. The bearers were Charles S. Dennison, Edward Whitford, Alfred Swart, John Woodburn, E.S. Penhollow and John Semore.
