His data is very confusing, and the source of the confusion may be a lousy reading of marriage records in Ancestry. To begin with, his name is confusing, being given as Louis or Louie Deham, but his nickname was Johnny in his obituary. But that's the tip of the iceberg. Veteran's records and SSACI put his birth date in 1921 - however, the Ancestry database, Ohio, County Marriage Records, 1774-1993, ordinarily reliable, gave his birth as "abt 1931" based on his age of 19 in his marriage to Alta Fink in 1950. Alta Fink was also 19 for the marriage, but I think his date must be a transcription error. This makes his marriage to Caroline Church difficult to date.
