Her maiden name is uncertain. Some sources give Uselton, others, such as IL death records, gave Williamson. In 1850, there were many Mary Williamsons in both KY and TN. Only one, however, had a father named Henry - but his wife was not Mildred, she was Elizabeth M. They were enumerated in Washington Co., IL. By contrast, there was only one Mary Uselton enumerated in TN, and her parents were not a match. There were no Mary Useltons of comparable age in KY. Temple gave Willbanks as her maiden name (she was 17 and unlikely to have had a prior marriage, but could have been adopted by a Willibanks). Therefore, Webb appears to be her name from a second marriage. Her surname of Cantrell had to predate her marriage to B.H. Temple, as her son Buddy claimed his mother's surname was Cantrell. It is possible, depending on the source of that claim, that she married a Cantrell after B.H. Temple's death in 1966, but she was not buried with the Cantrell surname.
