His will was drafted 5 Feb 1814, and proved 21 Feb 1814. Buried in Kennett Friends Burial Ground, Kennett Square, PA. Inherited part of Pennsbury farm from his father. He appeared in the census in 1830 in Crawford Co., IN.⁸⁵⁴⁴³ The 1830 census indicates he had three boys between the ages of 5 and 10, but none under the age of 5. This underscores the results in the 1820 census that Caleb had an unidentified son other than James before 1820.

Based on the returns from the 1840 census, where William and Caleb are close neighbors, I believe that William is a son of Caleb's. Caleb appeared in the census in 1840 in Crawford Co., IN.⁵¹⁴⁷³ The 1840 census gives Caleb a large family. He had two sons under 5 years (John L. and Andrew), one between 5 and 10 years (probably David L.), one between 10 and 15 (possibly David L., or possibly Caleb L.), one 15 to 20 years (Thomas) and one 20 to 30 (James L.). The uncertainties are attached due to the differences between the Census ages and their actual birth dates.

Only two daughters are shown, one between 5 and 10 (Elizabeth) and 10 to 15 years (Nancy Jane). In August 1850 he was a farmer in Sterling Twp., Crawford, IN.⁶²⁵⁹⁶ He died on 23 February 1869 at the age of 74 in English, Crawford, IN.^28761,85444 The Jennings genealogy gave 23 Mar 1859, but cemetery records give 23 Feb 1869. Buried in Sloan Cemetery, English, Crawford, IN. Caleb has reference number RLT # U113.⁸⁷⁴¹ The link of a Caleb to Thomas and Wilmath (Doty) Temple is secure. Her father's obituary said he had only one surviving daughter, and Caledonia was his only known daughter. But, that obituary said her name in 1927 was Mrs. R.H. Murrey [sic]. Texas marriage records say the wife of R.H. Murray said her given name was Fay. There was no marriage close to this with which it might be confuwed, but why Caledonia was going by Fay hen she married R.H. Murray is unexplained.
