I am suspicious that there were two nearly identical families in KS in the 1930 census. One, headed by Thomas W. Temple, was married to a wife Maude, of the same dates, with a son Gordon and daughter Eva, with the same dates as the children shown in this family. The other family, under T. Wilbur Temple, whose wife was also Maude, and children Gordon and Lucille, all with the same birth and marriage dates, lived in Wichita. I think they are the same family, enumerated twice, because the dates are all the same, but they used their first names in one enumeration, and their middle names in the other in 1930.

He did not know where his parents were from in 1910. In his WWI draft registration, he reported that he wore a false nose.
