There is a Charles Temple buried in Arlington Cemetery, who served as a corporal in Company C, 305th Infantry, 77th Division of the Army, probably in WWI - they may be the same person.

She wrote me, "I think I have cleared up the mystery surrounding the marriage of Elsie Blanche Davis to a Temple. On the marriage registration her husband's name is clearly written as John Garmanway Temple and when she registered his death she gave his name as Charles John Temple, but when their daughter married she gave her father's name as Charles John Gormansway (possibly Garmansway) Temple.
