He appeared in the census in June 1900 in Franklin Twp., Lycoming, PA.13886 He served in the military in 1906/7.117337 Enlisted 11 Jun 1906 in the PA National Guard as a private in Company D, 12th Infantry. His gravemarker also is clear that the year was 1977, but is in error. Buried in Mount View Cemetery, Sherwood, TN. His parents were both from PA.
His wives are confusing. In his 1918 draft registration, he gave Sarah as his next of kin. She was apparently his wife, though not so designated, because they both lived at the same address. If so, then Sarah was the mother of his children. Something then happened to Sarah, since she was not in the 1920 census, where his wife was Meda. Since he was enumerated with Elizabeth in 1910, and their children were Ella E. and Edna M., I suspect that Leroy was an adopted son, and possibly Mildred was an adopted daughter, by Sarah's first marriage. But this gets even more confusing - his wife Elizabeth's death certificate in 1957 said she was married, and that she was married to O.E. Temple. Further, he was the informant on her death certificate. However, in her daughter Edna's death certificate, her surname was Dapp, and she was apparently married to Frank Dapp. All of this may point to two different O.E. Temples who were in close proximity to each other for many years. Parents: Thomas Jefferson TEMPLE-22757 and Emma A. BIELAND-22763.

He has reference number RLT # 320ii.2028 His parents were from VT (father) and MA (mother), except in 1900 when they were both from MA.
I suspect it is possible he was a grandson of Moses and Winifred (Call) Temple, because it appears that another of their grandchildren, Henry Temple, ended up going to WA after 1860. That would have made it a couple of first cousins or possibly brothers making the trip. Parents: Ebenezer (Eben) TEMPLE-1330 and Philena LOVERIDGE-24772.

Oliver P. TEMPLE was born on 25 May 1866 in Greene Co., TN.65487,117348,117349,117350 The 1900 census gave May 1867, but this was a common error in the roundoff formula used in that census. His death certificate gave 1868. He moved in December 1900 in Tucson, Pima, AZ.117349 In 1901 he was a railroad brakeman in Pima Co., AZ.117351 Oliver died on 25 March 1901 at the age of 34 in Tucson, Pima, AZ.65487,97962,117351,117352 Died from a fracture to the base of his skull about two weeks prior to death. Body sent on order of T.F. Temple to be buried in George's Creek, TX. I have previously assumed T.F. to be Theodore F., and Oliver to be the son of William and Mary J. Temple, also Theodore's brother. This agrees with Oliver's enumeration in Greene Co., TN, in 1880. This assumption is incorrect, I think, since I found Oliver T. Temple very much alive in ID in 1920. I do not know who this Oliver P. was. The death certificate gave his parents' place of birth as TN (father) and NC (mother). It may be, based on timing and location, that he is the son of Daniel and Sarah (Watson) Temple, but that is a long shot. He was not found before 1900. Unmarried at the time of his death.
The best lead I have found was SSACI - where Oliver Temple, 518-14-5762, was b 20 Sep 1866 in Knoxville, TN, son of R.M. and Mary (Pugh) Temple. Aside from the wrong birth date, nothing more is known about any of them.

However, that claim, while consistent, does not cover Elixa's birth date. That indicates that Eliza must be a child by an earlier wife, who may have died.
